Ingredients
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon
  • ½ cup butter, room temp
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • ¾ tsp. Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
Instructions
  1. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Then, using a pair of clean kitchen shears, snip the bacon into the pan into one to two inch pieces. Cook the bacon until your desired crispness is reached. Then, remove the bacon bits from the pan to a paper towel lined plate to drain off any excess fat. Set the bacon to the side and allow to cool completely.
  2. Once the bacon is cool, add the bits to a small mixing bowl. Then, add in the room temp butter, dried parsley, Dijon mustard, garlic powder (alternatively, you could use a clove of fresh garlic) and onion powder. Stir until all of the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Then, cover the container, either with a lid or tightly wrapped sheet of plastic wrap. Then, place inside your fridge to firm up for 90 minutes. You could also place the butter in a sheet of food grade parchment paper and roll it up. Then, place the roll in the freezer and when you need a slice of butter, just cut it off and peel the paper off.
  4. This butter is amazing for breakfast on things like toast, bagels and English muffins. It’s also great for savory foods as well, such as on top of a freshly grilled steak or pork chop.
