Ingredients
  • 2 Bunches of Thota Koora
  • 1 Cup redgram dal
  • 1 small ball of tamarind
  • salt to taste
  • seasoning: 2 tsp oil,a pinch of hing,1 tsp cumin seeds2 red chilis broken into pieces,3/4 garlic pods,1 tsp blackgram dal.
  • Curry leaves.
Instructions
  1. Separate the leaves from stem.wash them thoroughly.Chop them finely.Soak tamarind in a little water.Wash dal and put it in the pressure cooker,add chopped thotakoora leaves,cook for 20 mins(3-4 whistles)Then remove the cokker from the flame and let it cool.Heat oil in a pan for seasoning,and add all the ingredients of seasoning, to the oil.fry them for few mins till black gram turns into light brown.Then add cooked dal to it.Mix well, add tamarind pulp and salt to it.Sprinkle curry leaves.
