- ¾ cup semolina
- 1 cup sour yogurt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- 6-7 curry leaves
- ½ tsp mustard seeds- for seasoning
- 1 tbsp oil
- Heat the oil and add the curry leaves and mustard seeds.
- Mix the semolina and yogurt to a smooth batter and add salt and oil, and keep aside in a warm place for about an hour.
- Put the idli maker over heat with water in it.
- As soon as the idli maker is ready add the baking soda to the batter, mix and immediately transfer into the moulds.
- Steam for 15-20 minutes and serve hot.
