Aloochaat is perfect for a cold day as it is nice and spicy, but it is a wonderful choice for hot days as well as it has no oil and is relatively light. In short, it is an anytime, anywhere snack. Made with just common ingredients, it can really be made whenever you wish.
Ingredients
  • 16 baby potatoes , boiled
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
Instructions
  1. Peel the onion and cut into small pieces.
  2. Cut the tomato into cubes.
  3. Cut the capsicum into half. Remove the seeds and cut into small pieces.
  4. Mix the potatoes, onion, tomatoes and capsicum in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add the lemon juice, sugar and chaat masala and mix well.
  6. Put the aloo chaat in a serving bowl and sprinkle coriander leaves on top.
  7. Serve chilled.
Notes
You can also add date / tamarind chutney, if you like.
