Tender tamarind leaves dal or chinta chiguru pappu is a common dish from the Andhra cuisine cooked with dal (lentil), chinta chiguru and mildly spiced. Goes well with rice, chapati or roti
Ingredients
  • Water-as Required
  • Salt (To Taste)
  • Curry Leaves
  • Green Chilles 4 - 5
  • Turermic Powder pinch
  • Onion 1 Small
  • Garlic Paste 1 Teaspoons
  • Mustard Seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • Cumin Seed 1 Teaspoons
  • OIL 1 Tablespoons
  • Tender Tamarind Leaves ( Chinta Chiguru) 1 Cup
  • Toor Dal 1 Cup
  • Butter 1 Teaspoons
  • Corainder Leaves Bunch
Instructions
  1. Clean and Boil Dal keep it a side
  2. Take a pan add Oil saute mustard seeds,Cumin seeds,chopped onions,garlic paste, turemic,green chillies,curry leaves,salt, saute this for few min.
  3. Now add tender tamarind leaves add little water and let it cook for 5 min.
  4. Add boiled dal let it cook for another 5min lastly add chopped coriander leaves.
