Turai beerakai with milk

Turai/ beerakai cooked in milk, mildly spiced with a wonderful creamy texture and it makes a refreshing recipe with exotic flavors and taste.
Ingredients
  • Red Chilli 2 Piece
  • Ridge Gaurd 2 Numbers
  • Salt 1 To Taste
  • Turmeric 1 Pinch
  • Milk 250 ml
  • Green Chilli 2 Numbers
  • Urad Dal 1 Tablespoons
  • Coriander Leaves 1 Springs
  • Channa Dal 1 Tablespoons
  • Coriander Pdr 1 Tablespoons
  • Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • Curry Leaves 6 Leaf
  • Onion 1 Large
  • Oil 2 Tablespoons
  • Mustard Seeds ½ Teaspoons
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, when they crackle add red chilli and cumin seeds. Add channa dal and urad dal and slighly brown them. Add chopped onions. Add turmeric and chopped chillies and curry leaves. Add coriander pwdr and milk and add diced ridge gaurd and simmer for 10 mts.
  2. Top with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
