This is a very common dish all over south India, and is quite easy to make. It can be served as a starter, or accompanied by curry and rice.
- 1 slice of seer fish
- 2 tsp rava
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp coconut milk
- Salt
- Wash the slice and rub salt on both sides.
- Mix turmeric and chili powders with coconut milk and coat the fish with it. Leave aside to marinate for atleast an hour.
- Now, spread the rava on a plate and place the slice of fish over it, so that one side is well coated with a thin layer of rava. Repeat on the other side.
- Heat a flat pan with some oil and place the slice of fish in it. Cook on a low flame for about 15-20 minutes, turn and cook until done. You know it is done when the layer of rava starts to crack a little. Serve hot!
