Moong Dal puri is a fantastic puffed Indian bread made with all-purpose flour combined with soaked moong dal and other spices ground together and made into stiff dough and deep fried into excellent round puffed pooris. This is a popular Jodhpuri style of cooking.
  • Salt To Taste
  • Ginger (optional) 1 inch Piece
  • All Purpose Flour 1 Cup
  • Spring Onions 1 Tablespoons
  • Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • Moong Daal ½ Cup
  • Chilly Powder 1 Teaspoons
  • Hing Pinch
  • Oil For Deep Fry
  1. First soak the moon Dal for 2 hours and keep it aside. To the soaked moon dal, add cumin seeds, spring onions, ginger (optional) put it into the blender and make a paste.
  2. Take a bowl add all purpose flour, salt, chilly powder, hing, mix this and add prepared paste, add some water and mix it like a soft dough, divide the dough into equal portions and make them puris and deep fry them in the hot oil.
