  • Bendakaya chopped: 2 cups
  • Onions chopped – 1 cup
  • Tomato chopped – 1 cup
  • Garlic – 3 pieces
  • Green chilles - 4
  • Tamarind – 2 pieces
  • Curry leaves- 10
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 pinch turmeric
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tea spoon
  • Chenna dal- 1 tea spoon
  • Red dry chillies (broken)- 3
  • Black gram (urad dal-husked) - 1 tea spoon
  1. In a pressure cooker add oil and heat it. Add Garlic piece and Onions, fry them till they become golden red. Add Bendakaya chopped, Tomato chopped, Tamarind, Green chiles, salt and turmeric. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles. After opening the lid smash it with smasher. Heat a pan and add oil into it. Add mustard seeds, red dry chillies, cumin seeds, black gram, chenna dal, turmeric and curry leaves to fry.
