A paneer(cottage cheese) curry with the distinctive taste of its main ingredient gongura or sorrel leaves.
Ingredients
  • Turmeric Pinch
  • Curry Leaves 2 Springs
  • Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
  • Oil For Fry
  • Salt To Taste
  • Onions 1 Numbers
  • Green Chilly 5 Numbers
  • Sour Greens (Gongura) 200 Grams
  • Paneer 300 Grams
  • Chilly Powder 1 Teaspoons
  • Coriander Powder 1 Teaspoons
  • Ginger 1 inch Piece
  • Garlic 6 Clove
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan add ginger, garlic pieces, slit green chilly, onions, salt, sauté it and add sour green (Gongura) cook this till it is tender. Let it cool down then put it into the blender and make a paste.
  2. Heat oil in another pan add cumin seeds, curry leafs, chopped onions, salt, turmeric, add some water, add chilly powder, coriander powder and add some more water mix it well, once it comes to boil add paste of sour greens, and add fried paneer, cook this some time and switch off the flame.
