Beetroot and spinach is a simple and delicious dish popularly made in the South Indian cuisine, served as a Side dish.
Ingredients
  • Onion 1 Numbers
  • Salt 1 0
  • Curry leaves 2 Springs
  • Turmeric ¼ Teaspoons
  • Green chilli 4 Numbers
  • Ginger garlic paste ½ Teaspoons
  • Moong dal 2 Tablespoons
  • Beetroot 200 Grams
  • Spinach 4-5 Bunch
  • Mint ½ Bunch
  • Garam masala ¼ Teaspoons
  • Coriander powder ½ Teaspoons
  • Chilli powder 1 Teaspoons
  • Coconut paste 2 Tablespoons
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions, salt, curry leaves, turmeric, green chilly, ginger garlic paste, cook for 5 minutes. 2. Now add moong dal (soaked in water) cook for 2 minutes with lid on. 3. Add grated beetroot cook till beetroot is tender then add chopped spinach, mint leaves, garam masala powder, coriander powder, chilli powder saute it and add coconut paste mix it well. 4. Serve with roti or rice.
