Sambar with Field Green Beans commonly known as Avarakkai Sambar in southern India is a very popular lentil combined with Field green beans combined with spices to make it very delicious and flavourful.
  • Chana Daal & Tur Daal 150 Grams
  • Salt To Taste
  • Coconut 1 Tablespoons
  • Sambar Powder 1 Tablespoons
  • Tamarind Juice ¼ Cup
  • Turmeric Pinch
  • Hing Pinch
  • Methi Seeds ⅛ Teaspoons
  • Red Chilly 3 Numbers
  • Cumin Seeds ¼ Teaspoons
  • Mustard Seeds ¼ Teaspoons
  • Oil 1 Tablespoons
  • Coriander Chopped 1 Bunch
  • Field Green Beans 250 Grams
  1. Heat a pan add oil, add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds splutter add cumin seeds, red chilly, methi seeds, hing, turmeric add field beans, sauté it for a minute then add tamarind juice, water, sambar powder, ground coconut, salt, cook this in a slow flame for 15 minutes, then add tur daal and chana daal (boiled), add chopped coriander.
  2. Serve this with rice.
