A very good treat with tea, to be enjoyed with your close ones
Ingredients
  • ¼ kg beaten rice (poha)
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 tomato
  • 3 onions
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1 cup coriander (dhania)
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 spring of curry leaves (kadi patta)
  • salt & sugar to taste
Instructions
  1. Wash poha.
  2. Strain in a colander
  3. Add half of the coconut, coriander,turmeric, sugar & salt to it
  4. Keep aside for ½ an hour.
  5. Heat oil.
  6. Add mustard seeds cumin seeds, curry patta & green chillies & turmeric pd.
  7. Add onion and fry well.
  8. Add tomatoes & fry again
  9. Add the potatoes and cook for a while.
  10. Add the poha.
  11. Mix well.
  12. Garnish with the remaining coconut & coriander.
  13. Serve hot, after sprinkling sev.
