  • Drumstick Leaves - 2 cups
  • Tamarind Juice - 2 spoons
  • Chopped onions - 1
  • Chopped green chillies - 3
  • Mustard seeds - half spoon
  • Jeera - half spoon
  • Oil - 1 spoon
  • Curry leaves - 10
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Garlic cloves - 6
  • Dal - 2 cups
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • Inguva - 1 pinch
  • Red chilli powder - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  1. First wash the dal and cook in a pressure cooker by adding drumstick leaves, onions, green chillies and tamarind juice.
  2. Take a pan and fry the ingredients (mustard seeds, jeera garlic cloves, red chillies & inguva) with oil.
  3. Fry on a low flame till garlic cloves turn into light red color.
  4. Smash the cooked dal by adding the turmeric powder, salt and chilli powder.
  5. Now mix the smashed dal and fried ingredients well for drumstick leaves dal.
  6. Can eat this dal recipe with hot rice tastes yummy.
