Carrot payasam or Gajar ka kheer is popular milk based Indian pudding which is easy to prepare and full of nutrition. Grated carrots cooked in ghee and milk garnished with fried nuts. Carrot payasam is a very healthy dessert rich in vitamin A and C.
  • Cardamom Powder 10 Grams
  • Almonds 50 Grams
  • Cashew Nuts 100 Grams
  • Raisins 50 Grams
  • Sugar To Taste
  • Milk 500 ml
  • Carrot 250 Grams
  1. In a pressure cooker boil the Carrots, cashew nuts in water till they become soft, let it cool down, put this into the blender make a paste.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan add pieces of almonds, raisins, till the raisins puff up and add pieces of coconut and add boiled milk, sugar, cook this till sugar melts,
  3. then add coarse paste of carrot and cashew nuts, cook this till mixture is thicken then switch off the flame and let it cool down, then serve this.
