Pineapple Zarda Pulao also known as Zafrani Pulao, is a Indian sweet rice preparation using pineapple pieces or canned pineapple, which is diced and added to the pulao
  • Pistachio 5 Numbers
  • Cardamom Powder ¼ Teaspoons
  • Salt 1 Pinch
  • Pineapple Pieces 1 Cup
  • Ghee 3 Tablespoons
  • Sugar 1 Cup
  • Water 1½ Cup
  • Basmati Rice 1 Cup
  • Almond 5 Numbers
  • Khoya 50 Grams
  • Saffron ½ Grams
  1. Heat ghee in a pan add pineapple pieces and sauté it and add little, water put the lid on let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes till tender, add sugar mix it cook this till sugar melts.
  2. Take a pan add water, ghee, saffron (soaked in milk) comes to boil add rice (soaked in water for 30 minutes) add pinch of salt, cook for 5 minutes then add pineapple & sugar mixture, mix it and add cardamom powder, pistachio, almond, khoya (optional) mix gently put the lid on cook it in a slow flame for 3 minutes, then switch off the flame.
